Nigerian veteran comedian Ali Baba on Monday stressed that
celebrities play a vital role in influencing the youths of every society. He stated
this at the grand opening of Students’ Week 2014, of the Nigerian Institute of
Journalism, Lagos.
He stated that “apart from entertaining, celebrities can
serve as role models and brand ambassadors”...
which has great influence on
shaping the future of the Nigerian youths.
Adding that, the
importance of hard work and education to becoming a successful celebrity can
not be over emphasized.
He however advised that students of the Institute to embrace
hard work as it is the only remedy to failure.
Other celebrities that graced the occasion includes WAZOBIZ FM
presenter Yaw, COOL FM presenter, Dotun AKA D.O.T , Chocolate City Queen,
Victoria Kimani AKA Pryse, Director of Programs, Radio Continental, Ayo Makinde
among others.
